Hello, I am using the Mamp program on localhost to test out different website functions and when I try to “restore” a download of my website from my web host, by using the WPVivid plugin, to a clean and new version of WordPress on localhost, the restore completes but then the page reloads and I get this error: “Safari can’t open the page “localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait a few minutes, and then try again.”

My MacBook is up to date and Mamp is up to date, when I install a clean and new version of WordPress onto the localhost system everything works perfectly fine and normal, the WPVivid plugin downloads just fine too but I get the error mentioned above only when a “restore” of a downloaded backup completes. I tried refreshing the page and I tried clearing the browser cache, but neither seemed to fix the issue. Any ideas on what went wrong or how I can try to fix this?

    Hello,

We strongly advise creating a local site using WAMP or XAMPP, as WPvivid plugin is known to perform seamlessly with these platforms. Subsequently, please notify us of whether the issue has been resolved or persists.

    Kind regards.

Thank you for the helpful advice. I figured out that it was a cache plugin causing the error so I had to deactivate it before creating a backup and downloading the backup onto the Mamp/Wordpress program by using the WPVivid plugin, and now everything is working fine.
