• Hey there,

first of all thank you very much for the great plugin and the fantastic work! While most things work perfectly, there is still one major issue. When having a very weak internet connection (Edge, iOS), I get the following error (that also accurs with the original SuperPWA App, by the way):

Safari cannot open the page. The error was: “FetchEvent.respondWith received and error: TypeError: The Internet connection appears to be offline.”

From that point on, there is no way to refresh the page (since in full screen mode) or restart the PWA. Hence, one needs to delete the app and re-install (Add to Home Screen) to get it running again. Currently, this is a neck breaker.

Drawing from my research, this major issue could be solved by optimizing the service worker, as proposed under this link: https://adactio.com/journal/15122/amp

Any suggestions on how to solve that issue?
Thanks in advance for your support.

    Best,
    Jo

  • We also been experiencing this issue for about 3 weeks now, still not found the adequate solution.

Safari on desktop seems to have it less, but from what i noticed i think we are getting it even if the individual as not added the homepage as a PWA. Just visiting the site seems to trigger it on some device (will need more time to get further info).

    Relevant plugin also in use:
    WP Rocket
    OneSignal Push Notification
