Woocommerce shopping experience is flawless except for customers using Safari. Items do not add to the cart in Safari. We are testing our store and indeed we are encountering the same issue. We have deactivated all other plugins. We are using the latest version of WordPress 4.2.2

This is a critical issue as we have been hearing from many customers starting yesterday.

Will you look into this as soon as possible.

    Thank you,

We tested this with 2014 wordpress theme with all other plugins removed and we still find that items are not added to the cart in Safari. Clicking the add to cart button makes for a spinning wheel. There is no error page, nor a white screen.

Standing by to hear more and thank you.

Please post the url to your site.

https://joejacobi.com/order-5-with-joe is the order page where we are experiencing issues in safari.

    Thank you.

I’m sorry don’t think I can help resolve this, only identify other concerns.

I have just tested with my setup: WP and WC latest, and can add-to-cart in Safari. I’ve not seen the problem on this board so it looks like its specific to your setup.

The product archive page doesn’t show a footer. I don’t know if its supposed to, but the product page does. If there is no footer when there should be its likely some script error has interrupted execution.

The product page doesn’t show the product. It shows various other stuff but not the product like it should. There’s something quite wrong here.

Add-to-cart does not hang for me in Chrome or Safari, but the product is not added to the cart, and the cart show the “Your cart is empty – return to shop message”. Again, something quite wrong.

It seems others have had issues using WooCommerce on your theme:

An OP plugin for WooCommerce is mentioned but I can’t tell if its relevant to your setup.

It looks like this is a commercial theme so you may get more help from the vendor’s support service. Their techs know the theme best and support is usually included in the price.

You’ve been so thorough, wonderfully communicative, and immediate with your responses on this issue. Thank you so much. We will check out the various anomalies you have outlined above and try to find a solution. Please keep this thread open and we will follow up with what we discover and hopefully it is a successful resolution.

    Again, thank you.

One more question… I should have asked this. Even when we use the 2014 theme, the cart functions even more poorly with Safari than with optimize press. If you are still on hand to give it a test, I will change the theme and you can give it another go to see what I mean. Standing by to hear from you.

    Thank you,

I don’t think that would help. 2014 works well with WC, although the styling needs work. If your setup doesn’t, it means something about your WP, WC or database is corrupted. You could try a fresh separate install of WP, WC and database in a subdirectory. If that doesn’t work, check that your php and mysql versions meet requirements and for any hosting restrictions.

Okay, thank you. We will proceed on that front.
