• Safari cannot handle WordPress re-utilisable blocks correctly.
    1) If you already have a re-utilisable WP block on your page the menu for displaying such blocks is available but existing such blocks are not indicated in it. In my example, I have two named re-utilisable blocks but only an untitled block is indicated. (Screenshot available)

    2) If you create a new page and want to insert a re-utilisable block, no entry for re-utilisable blocks is visible in the menu to add blocks. It should appear below Jetpack, but there is nothing. Screenshot available.

I can solve the problem by switching to Firefox (70.0.1 (64-bit)), but I would prefer not to have to do that. I have also posted a message on Apple forums.

I am using Safari Version 13.0.3 (15608.3.10.1.4) and WordPress 5.2.4 on an iMac (27-inch, Late 2013).

    Thanks for your help. Alan

  • This may be a local issue, as I’m unable to reproduce it in my Safari (admittedly, I’m still on v12.12).

Have you tried a private browsing window, in case there’s a Safari plugin causing interference?
