Is this a joke (2023 experience)

    <p>I really gotta ask: Is this some kind of joke I’m not getting? Today I freshly installed WordPress with the Gutenberg plugin, and my first task failed, very much ungracefully. I just wanted to insert a global background image to all pages, WITHOUT coming into CSS. Cause you know, that’s part of what full site editing should do.<br>Not here. There is no option available in the site editor on the index page. Less fun, nothing helpful to be found online. Even if I wanted to add the functionality myself, I can’t put endless time into researching things that a product that is out of beta should have available. Enjoy your days, cause this just ruined mine.</p>
