SA currency gets taken to USD?

    I have selected South African Rand as the currency but when I hit the paypal donate button I get taken ton a page saying..

    This recipient does not accept payments denominated in USD. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency.

    I tried switching to otherm currency Roubles and it worked. I switched back to Rands and it went to that usd page again
