S3 Server Side Encryption

    Hi folks,

    I’m backing up to Amazon S3 at the moment. So far so good. I’d like to automatically use the Amazon S3 server side encryption when backing up with Updraftplus.

    I can log into the AWS console and encrpyt files manually. If I do a restore with these files it completes successfully.

    I’ve tried adding the policy at this Amazon page to the S3 bin. When enacted the backups can’t upload anymore.

    Seems like this string “x-amz-server-side-encryption” needs to be set with value “AES256” and added to the upload request. But I’m not sure how to do that.

    Any pointers to a filter? Thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated.
