When you are using multiple sites with S3 backup on a shared bucket and you ask it to scan, it gives you all the backups in that bucket – if they are for that site or not. There doesn’t seem to be any way to tell which backups are for this site because it only gives dates, not a filename. I can get around this by going to the bucket but I would imagine this would be confusing for a non-developer.

  • I have the same problem. I cannot identify which is which.

What is the use of Site ID key if the plugin cannot identify it’s backups. See image below.

    Hi,

We recommend storing the backups for rach site in different sub-folders so backups from other sites will not appear on the other sites.

I already tried that one. Yes, the backups was stored on the subfolder but on the existing backup lists, it still listed the backups from the root folder.

It should be S3 list objects plus prefix key which is the subfolder, not list all objects.

Maybe you can verify to me please if it is working in you end.

Note: I have already clicked the Rescan remote storage link

Note: 1) finding backups that were not created by the current site is the *intended purpose* of the “Rescan remote storage” link. 2) If you attempt to restore a backup from a different site, a clear + prominent warning will be displayed before the restoration begins, and you will be asked to confirm you wish to go ahead.

Oh! If that’s the case, is there any means of listing all backups related only to the site where the plugin is installed? The listing can also be used to verify if the backup is created as scheduled…

Or Can you add a description on every backup list where it belongs like domain perhaps so that we can identify…
