How does the plugin’s Amazon S3 function determine “the most recent 5 backups”?

I ask because I frequently add other stuff to the same bucket, and if I set it to 5 (or 10), other older stuff seems to disappear and I only end up with the 1 most recent backup. It could just be something I’ve done. For now, I have it set to 0 for Unlimited and nothing else has disappeared.

You are right, anything other then wpress file will be included and removed from the bucket.

The next version of S3 will correct this behaviour and will add the ability to select a different bucket and/or folders under a bucket as destination for the backups.

I am sorry for overlooking this issue. For now, try not to add other files to the bucket used for backups by the extension.

Thanks for the clarification! It’s no problem. I have my bucket set to expire old backups, so I have the option set to 0 for now.
