• Last week, a customer made a purchase and succesfully registered himself via the link s2member sent in the email.
Nothing changed on my website since then, but today I got this problem.
‘unable to verify $_server["http_host"]. please check the custom value in your button code. it must start with your domain name.’ error message pops up upon completion of payment.

The page Paypal button is on: https://www.djegitimseti.com/satin-al/

  • I suggest you have a look at this thread and check all the possibilities mentioned there.

I saw the thread you mentioned before I posted here, actually.
As I said before, nothing has changed on my website lately.
I haven’t installed any new plugins. Last week, a transaction was made with no problems but the last one yesterday did not go thru.

Obviously, something has changed. It’s just that you are not aware of what it is. So I’d check all those things, and install a plugin to log all activity (including things like crons) on your site.

    Ok, here is the situation.

I was making test payments to see if the system is working or not, but all while logged in as an admin.

I created a different button with s2member for a small amount and tried the payment in a different browser. It went through and I got all the emails from s2member.

Also, when my last customer had the problem during payment process, he used non English chracters in his name and I read somewhere about this causing problems.

So, I took %%full_name%% from signup confirmation email recipient section as advised in another thread.

I hope this will work with no problems in the future.

As I said, I did not touch the site for a long time and everything was perfect until this last customer.

I didn’t say that you had touched anything. There are many ways your site can change without your doing anything. That’s why I have plugins installed to log everything I can. But I hope this now all works for you.
