• I have site with both plugins. The bulk of the site is open, requiring no membership. We have a members only section, and we have a store that’s open to the general public.

Currently the general public can purchase items and create an account. That account has logout, change password, and modify account capabilities through WooCommerce.

Members using s2Member Pro, have an additional area to change their profile information within s2Member, and it is using a different logout, change password capability.

Is there anyway to allow nonmembers to use the store, create an account, etc, and members with s2member login credentials to use one spot to change their passwords and account information?

I have a log out link, but apparently it’s for the store, so if a member is logged in, they can log ‘out’ but it only logs them out of the store, not wordpress/s2member in general.

If they go to change their password, using the link I’ve allowed, it’s the store page that they’re going to to change the password. I can give them the link to the s2member profile page, but that won’t work for general visitors to the site and/or store accounts – just those who are members.

Can I merge all of this so anyone who is not a member can create an account on the store and members who are paid/registered in s2Member can use the same forms?

  • What you are looking for is certainly not available out of the box, and I believe, will require considerable customization.

In fact, I am aware of only two membership plugins that truly integrate with a shopping cart, and that’s because, in both cases, (a) the two parts are both built by the same developers, and (b) the membership part is nowhere near as powerful as s2Member.

Would you be so nice to share the names of those plugins KTS915?

    Sure!

Restrict Content Pro + Easy Digital Downloads.
    iThemes Exchange + Membership add-on.

Would either combo work for you?

Thank you very much. I’ll test them and see how they perform with other components of my website.
