• Hi,

There is some common problem that occurs with the members account. I am not sure what it is.

Basically they receive a 500 error.

They only receive the 500 error in the browser where they are logged in. They can open another browser and go the site fine.

** Only way i know how to solve this is having the member clear their browser cache.
** Another way is deactivating and activating the s2member plugin.
(guessing this logs them out of the account and they can view the site again and log back in)

This is not easily replicated but occurs over an amount of time. Seems to happen more to those that stay logged in to their accounts.
It happens to my admin account a think about every week or so. Though I am always logged into my account.

Just wanna know if this is a known, or if their has been some history about this that can solve my problem, maybe some known plugin conflicts.

    Thanks

  • Never heard of this before. It sounds like a theme or plugin conflict, though it could also be a problem caused by caching if the caching plugin or module is not set correctly.

Well I am sure its not a plugin cache. On one site I have super cache and on another i dont have super cache or any type of caching plugin and it still happens. They also have two different themes. I guess I will have to test plugins.

Dont know if deactivating and activating the plugin will help diagnose when it does occur again. Probably whatever the conflict is would already be in place and deactivating plugins would not help.

I guess I will just have to test it out on an empty site without plugins and wait to see if it happens to know if its s2member or not by itself.

Who is your host? Do they run any sort of caching module?

Host Gator. We are on a dedicated server.
Ill look to see if we run any kind of catching module.
I didnt set up the server.

Thanks. Maybe that could be a problem.
