• Hello,

I’ve come across a couple of issues that only occur when S2 Member Pro plugin is activated:

    1. Visual composer works sporadically. Some pages it works okay and others it doesn’t load. When S2 is disabled everything works fine (my memory is set to 128m and is only utilising 29m – so it’s not a memory issue).

    2. Login with Ajax displays an error when logging in but if I disable S2 it works fine.

So for now I have to run with S2 disabled in order to use VC and Login with Ajax.

I’m not sure which developer is responsible here but it seems since S2 is impacting at least 2 known, good, plugins, it might be a good place to start – but for those thinking about using S2, it works great…it just seems to be a problem with these particular plugins!

    Thanks!
    Rob

Okay – I have more information to muddy the water!

While what I wrote was true – disabling s2 did allow both those plugins to work (and they didn’t work with S2 enabled) – disabling “revolution slider”, with S2 activated, allows Visual Composer to work.

So, VIsual composer WILL work with S2 enabled but not with the “revolution slider” enabled.

The conflict still exists between ‘login with Ajax” and “S2”.

I think there is probably nothing wrong with either Login with Ajax or s2Member. But I also think there is bound to be a conflict between them because both control login redirections. So you need to choose which you want to use.

As for Revolution slider, it has been subject to a very serious security weakness leading to the hacking of a very large number of sites, so it’s a plugin I’d avoid anyway.

I’d also point out that if you ever plan to hook in more functions using s2Member, then you really should consider dropping VC too. That stores content within itself, rather than in WordPress, so s2Member (and other plugins, come to that) cannot access it.
