• I’m using WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping to ship products to different regions in NZ. It’s all working great by having a different shipping zone for each region.

Now however I would like to have a rural option so the customer can choose shipping zone1 or shipping zone1 Rural. All I want the rural option to do is add $10 to the price.

I was hoping there was a way to add a checkbox on the cart page that if checked it adds a flat amount to the current shipping cost.

If anybody knows a way to achieve this it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Yes i’d love to know how to do this too. I have the table rate plugin also. I have been absorbing the rural costs from profit but it’d be great to be able to on charge these customers without increasing prices for non-rural.

https://www.wishlantern.co.nz is my site. If you crack it Stephen please share ??

Just add another shipping method to the relevant shipping zone called “Rural” with the same table rates but increase each row’s shipping by $10.00. This will add an extra “Rural” shipping method to the checkout page that the customer can switch to if it applies to them.

Pardon me for not being very sharp, but I’ve uploaded, downloaded, reloaded, unloaded, activated and inactivated “WooCommerce Tablerate” plug in and cannot get it to work. The directions said to install it and activate it and it would run wonderfully. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to build a rate table or how to implement it if I could build one. Does anyone have a suggestion for what I’m probably missing?
