Running WordPress behind Password Protected Directory

  • I have a client who is trying to run wordpress in a htaccess password protected directory on his webserver. it is for family only and contains private pictures of their new baby and would like to keep them from prying eyes.

    HHe would ultimately like to be able to use Shozu to upload pics and video directly to his blog from his phone.

    However he is unable to upload any pics even from the admin interface.

    Even when he is able to log into the server (not WP) and tries to upload a pic, it just halts at the “crunching” part.

    Uploads folder is set to 777.

    Any ideas of possible workarounds?
