  • Hi,

There are a number of ways you can help to speed up your site. The biggest factor is hosting. The biggest improvements to site speed can be made by switching to a VPS or dedicated server. That’s not always financially viable though so you can make other improvements to your site to try and speed it up.

Compressing images and serving them from a CDN will also make a big difference as will compiling scripts and caching pages. I would suggest trying out some plugins for performance like, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache or WP Rocket although they can take quite a bit of setting up to get right.

    I hope that helps ??

    Hi,

    Thanks for the tips.

My only concern was that there was no issue until I started using your theme.

The second I made the switch the entire site was running slow. More so on smart phones.

DO you have any idea what may have caused that on your end?

    Regards

    Hi,

There hasn’t been any reports of unusually slow load times being caused by the theme before. The theme has nothing out of the ordinary that could cause this. As with most premium themes there are a number of scripts that are used to create certain effects which can drastically affect load times depending on a number of factors, but again, nothing out of the ordinary.

I am always looking to improve the performance of my plugins and theme. Using Chrome inspector will help you find possible causes for your load times. If you find anything please let me know and I will make improvements where I can.

    Cheers

    Hi

The problem Clubpress brings up is true. It happens on my blog also. Took me a while to pinpoint the issue and eventually once I deactivated WP Club Manager my site opened fast. With WP Club Manager activated my site takes 7-10 seconds just “thinking” before the site opens. That’s really anoying to the point I deactivated it because that would scare users away (people dont like slow loading pages).

I gave reactivated the pluggin so that you can see the delay for yourself at https://www.BlogVermelho.com

And its 100% the pluggin the problem as all I have to do is deactivate/activate it for the issue to come and go. Without the pluggin my site loads instantly.

I love the pluggin and hope you come up with a solution.
