Running other programs in WordPress site

  • should be fine. I run WP from my root, and in other subdomains or subdirectories I run forums, other WP installs, e-shop, wiki, etc

    However, it’s been my experience some .htaccess directives can cause Internal Server errors with WP.

    I am trying out Google Analytics for tracking visits, but I might switch to AXS Tracking if I’m not happy with it. I have used AXS for many years.

    yeah, none of my other stuff requires any .htaccess stuff outside of their own directory/subdomain, I’ve never had any conflicts with that, so I can’t comment on it further
