• Hi,
I want to use my WordPress site as a portfolio for my Elearning work, but am unable to open interactive PDFs. I’ve created the files in PowerPoint, added interactivity in Captivate 9 and saved as PDFs as the only option available for WordPress. The process for loading to the media library and then my site seems to work fine, then when I try to open the file from the page link, a blank page of the right size opens, but nothing else. I’m getting the same response in both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I tried using a plugin – Custom Type Post Attachment and this wouldn’t load the file to the site. The only clue I’ve got is that on opening Inspect, there is a warning stating that ‘/deep/ communicator is deprecated’. Not being a coder, I haven’t a clue where to go from there, can anyone please help?

Save the file to your desktop computer, then right click and select “Open with”.. and choose a Web Browser like Chrome. Does the file open in the browser?

I’ve done as you suggested and am getting the same response. I guess I need to look elsewhere for a solution?

It would appear your file is not suitable for the Web. I’m not sure why that is, maybe Microsoft’s forums will give you a better answer.
