Running a site in two languages with different content – best way?

Hi,

I’m kind of stuck with the development of my website since I can’t figure out the best way to develop it.

I wan’t it to be an international site in English with content for an international audience, but at the same time I want to write about topics relating to my own country in my own language. And, I don’t want the international audience to see all my national posts since that might scare them away (thinking that my site is aimed at a national audience).

Just translating it won’t do the job, since I want different content in different languages (different menu items, pages, posts etc.).. I just read something about running a multi site blog, but that didn’t seem very convenient.

Any ideas on the best way to do this?
