Runaway High CPU Usage

    The two sites, The Good Plate and HealWithin both use this plugin. They are both using VPS hosting at the same host, but are on different servers. Yesterday, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, after the update that occurred about 12:47 PST, both sites’ CPU usage went up so much that it brought the servers to a screeching halt. Although both sites use VPS, there are other sites that are also on those servers that were also inaccessible. The hosting provider had to restart both servers multiple times to stop the CPU usage. I have copies of the chat sessions I had with the hosting provider’s support technicians. It didn’t occur to me until this morning that the only plug-in both sites use that was recently updated is this one. I deactivated the plug-in on both sites this morning and have had no runaway CPU issues since.

    Can you please install query monitor and check the results with it on the page load and share us the details. We will go through it and let you know.

    I have installed it. I’ll just let it sit for a while and run some tests on it Sunday, November 8, 2020, when I have some time.
