    Greetings,

    I have a development server, which is a copy a site with premium WF subscription.
    The dev site has a WF downgraded to free.
    > It is password protected, and disabling the password I managed to add it to our WordFence Central account fine, with no errors.

    Even with password protection off the error
    ===
    Rule Update Failed
    No rules were updated. Please verify you have permissions to write to the /wp-content/wflogs directory.

    Still showed.
    I verified that the owner of the /wp-content/wflogs is the same as the rest of the site (both live and dev)
    The right permissions are fine and changing them to even more liberal perms temporarily makes no difference.
    I disabled the plugin and reenabled as well.

    Any ideas?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @flexer, thanks for getting in touch.

    Our support team can assist with premium license holders with development/staging sites, however I can’t discuss the premium product here on the forums.

    I recommend opening a support ticket highlighting the above information at https://support.wordfence.com. They will be able to assist you faster and more efficiently.

    You can also access premium support via the Help menu item in the plugin, Help link on the plugin’s Dashboard page, on our documentation homepage or via the HELP link in the footer of all wordfence.com pages.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
