rule not working

CS = case sensitive

Unfortunately it is not possible to use a hook for filtering.

A friend told me that you can’t change the rules after the feed has been created.

So may I create an other one?

Thanks for the screenshot. The rule you created looks fine and should work. We have replicated at our end and it works. Are you sure you have manually reprocessed your feed and cleared cache of your browser or any caching plugin you might be using?

Your friend is not right. You can change anything in your feed configuration after the feed has been created, rules too.

I use the SG Optimizer (SG Cache for SiteGround Sites).

And indeed I haven’t cleared/purged the cache.

With “manually reprocessed” do you mean the button “manually refresh product feed”?

That is correct.

Change made to your feed configuration will only show once the feed has either automatically or manually been reprocessed.

I have tried to add a rule for a feed that is already working, and it didn’t work.

When I create or dupicate the feed I am able to add the rule and it works perfectly.

So then indeed, this seems like a caching issue. You need to make sure that the product feed URL is not being cached by your caching plugin or flush/clear the caching of the plugin every time you make an update to your feed configuration.

But I purge the cache after every step… When I create the feed after update the rule and before download.

Is a known problem with SG Optimizer Plugin?

When you make other configuration changes to the feed, such as adding a field mapping for example, do they make it to the feed when you reprocess it? If not, I suggest you reach out to the support team of SG Optimizer asking how to prevent the feeds from being cached (unfortunately we don’t know all ins & outs of all caching plugins out there).

So If I disable the SG Optimizer cache Plugin, the new rule will work fine, isn’t it?

That really depends on the caching plugin, changes are that it is saving a cached version of the feed somewhere that will still exists even when you disable the plugin.
