Ruined search function

    Hello.

    Since I have installed elasticsearch for server (on cloudways ver. 7.17) and elasticpress for our woocommerce, I can even search for products or orders further in my control panel.
    It runs longer than 100 sec. and finally being blocked by cloudflare. Before we installed elasticpress, it only took 2-3 seconds to get some results from the search.

    We can’t use anymore our backend search for items or order, and I can’t disable or remove elasticpress, if I do, my frontpage search doesn’t work at all and gives cloadflare error message after 100sec. driving.

    Does anyone know what it is or experienced something similar?

    Hi. That generally happens because your webserver has a problem communicating to your Elasticsearch server. Unfortunately, as that is specific to your hosting, we can’t help you with that.

    You can always install our debugging plugin (as described in this article), and check which messages Elasticsearch is sending back to you. The plugin also gives you the time taken for each query, which will help you to measure if it is really your ES server that is taking too long or if it is something else.
