Ruined by bloat – AVOID

  • I just wanted a maintenance mode and not a plethora of more plugins and more features. WordPress has a plugin system so I can decide WHAT features I want. I DON’T WANT ALL THIS BLOAT AND GET NAGGED WITH ANNOYING NOTIFICATIONS IN MY DASHBOARD!

    And now I have to search for an alternative plugin.

    TL;DR: AVOID AT ALL COST (unless you like bloat)

    We’re sorry to hear that the changes introduced in the latest versions of the plugin were not helpful in your use case. We introduced new features to improve the design and performance of the maintenance or coming soon pages. Also, after installing LightStart, it is possible to skip installing the Otter plugin which provides the pre-designed templates for the maintenance and coming soon pages. Thus, you can still use the plugin as before, without using the new features.
