Ruby on Rails to WordPress

  • Dear WordPress fellows,
    I hope everyone is well,

    I am in the process of migrating a website which is built on Ruby on Rails and I am struggling with the developers and hosting company because every single question I am asking they want to charge me money for it as they simply know I am going to ditch them soon.

    Long story short there are news stories and blogs created on the Dashboard they have constructed on Ruby on Rails and I need to extract them and import them into the new website which is a WordPress one.

    When I asked for a backup/help they replied with: Any backup we provide is an SQL file of the database that holds the data used to run the current website, i.e. news stories and blog posts. There is no direct integration to WordPress.

    Copying and pasting blogs and news stories is not an option because of the amount that is there.
    Any tips, plugins, ways to easily import what they will give me without constructing every blog?
