• Downloaded the plugin and then is asked me for an access code to use it and the only way to get this is to register. Took me 10 minutes to figure out where the access code was and then it didn’t work! 10 minutes of my life wasted. I now can’t delete my user info on the site either. Avoid!

Hi, I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. AdPlugg is working without issue on thousands of sites.

The reason you have to register is because AdPlugg is a service (as mentioned in the first line of our plugin description). We track and provide stats for each of your ads and allow you to serve ads in ways that would be much too computationally expensive to do on a typical shared hosting account. From a single AdPlugg account you can also serve ads to multiple sites.

If you don’t have any need for stats, scheduling, rotation strategies etc. there are dozens of stand alone plugins that might suit you better. You could also of course just use an img tag. If you would like any of the features that AdPlugg adds please feel free to reach out to us for help getting it set up (we are providing the service and support for free).

Previously you could use our contact form to cancel your account. We’ve now added a cancel feature so if you’d like to cancel, just go to your account settings (top right) and click the Cancel My Account link.

    Best,
