RTL permalinks not working after moving the website to live host server

  • Hi there,
    I have this problem which cause me headaches for last hours so I decided to bring it to the community in case anyone had this issue before with Polylang plugin.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    I made a bilingual website locally with Polylang plugin and then move it to the live host server.
    The links and everything work properly in my localhost but the RTL language links has broken in the live website. It seems that the browser cannot define the RTL Language characters and convert them to question mark.
    Any help would be appreciated as it is a big site and I really cannot make all the pages and posts again.

    You should turn off all plugins before you move your website to an other host.

    actually I changed the slugs manually from Farsi to English and it worked, however it was not what I wanted. I preferred to have Farsi permalinks for my Farsi website and English permalinks in my English website.

    You should turn off all plugins before you move your website to an other host.

    Did you test without Polylang. Does it work??

    If it don’t work it seems to be an issue with the character encoding.
    Then check if all is in UTF8:
    – in WordPress in your wp-config.php?: `/** Database Charset to use in creating database tables. */
    define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);`)
    – in your MySQL database.
