RSVP and Events Tab

Hey Guys!

Geoff Graham wanted me to do this as he asked me humbly, so here I am.

This is with reference to the “The Events Calendar” wordpress plugin, which is wonderful and you should try it if you have not yet.

I would like to request for an RSVP feature so that we could assess how many people are going to turn up for the event.

This will be help when we have a free event since in paid events we would have a fair estimate based on the tickets sold.

Second feature, is that if you have buddypress running, then you should definitely encourage other community members to join in to the event by simply letting them know that you are going (by virtue of having RSVPed).

So, basically we should have a RSVP button with 2 options:
1.) I will be attending
2.) I will not be attending

When option 1 is selected, simply use that ‘trigger’ to update the ‘activity’ stream of that person to state “‘John Doe’ is attending the ‘Country Food festival'” (with a link on ‘John Doe’ pointing to his profile and a link on ‘Country Food Festival’ pointing to the event page of that event)

So now that I spelled out exactly what we need, pls code it and make the world a better place with your plugin.
