RSS Widget Not Pulling Feeds on Digital Ocean VPS

    I have a self-hosted WordPress install on a Digital Ocean VPS. When I try to use the RSS Widget to display a feed, it always says “An error has occurred, which probably means the feed is down. Try again later.” No matter which feed I put in the feed URL field.

    If I SSH to the server, I can use curl to get the feed, so the port and/or feed are not being blocked. The server admin assures me that no IPs are blocked and neither is outbound or inbound port 80.

    I don’t think this is a problem with the RSS widget, but I can’t find a solution to this problem. Anyone have any ideas?
