RSS link in category using custom post types

Hey WordPress Support Forum

I’m in the middle of creating my online portfolio, using custom post types. Now I have 1 category called “portefolje” (which is also the name of the custom post type) in which I put all of my works, now the trouble is whenever I try to view the category’s RSS feed my custom post types aren’t showing in the feed for the “portefolje” kategori.

Now I did some reading and from what I could see the RSS feeds only support normal posts?!

So is there anyway using say functions.php that I could tell wordpress that whenever the user is viewing the category “portefolje” the feed url for that category is changed too lets say /feed?postype=portefolje ?

Or is there a much simpler way, like telling wordpress to include custom post types in RSS feeds aswell?
