rss icon is fine in FF but not IE….. how can I fix this

Hi guys,
I am using worpress built rss to display a feed from NYTimes. I have a strange box between the rss icon and the image replacement title of the plugin. This isn’t a problem in FF of course. My user for this site uses IE. Im not sure how to correct this. Ideas?
