RSS for pods custom post type showing comments not posts

I changed the archive url to just be the default one now but

shows has 404

RSS feeds are separate of standard WordPress archive handling. They don’t work in the method you’re describing unless you create a URL rewrite for /my-post-type/feed/ to /feed/?post-type=my-post-type

however this just returns the blog rss, rather than the custom post type

Check your Pods Settings for notice-sheet under Edit Pods, Advanced Options and make sure the Publicly Queryable is checked (this determines visibility for RSS feeds). Also, since your link is password protected, I cant’ check, but did you try:

?post_type=notice_sheet because by default when you create a Post Type with Pods, we use Underscores in the name, not hyphens.

notice-sheet would be the archive or slug, but when you use the url parameter with ?post_type, it uses the actual ‘post name’ in the database.
