• Resolved iron hide

    (@iron-hide)

    Hi,

My feeds stopped working and I am not sure what happened.

    Feed URl: https://feeds.feedburner.com/TechSnafuFeed

Here is the message I get when I try to validate:

    This feed does not validate.

line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:0: no element found

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

Feeds should not be served with the “text/html” media type

I am using feedburner and “redirection” plug-in to redirect RSS to feedburner. It worked in the past, but after few weeks that I checked the RSS, it was blank.

    Thanks

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I tried all of this and it still didn’t fix the issue. Its using my feedburner from Google.

I know it was working before, not sure why all of the sudden it stopped working.

    Thanks

Hmmm .. I don’t know what happened but second time when I disable and then re-enabled all plug-ins, it works.

The only weird thing is that on Google Chrome it looks fine but in Firefox it looks like ordinary RSS feed not Feedburner?

    Any ideas on that?

    Thanks

    I’m seeing a Feedburner page in Win 7/Firefox 13.

Well, its been over 10 hours that I made 3 new posts and feedburner is not updating. I tried pinging, “Re Synch” and other stuff and it still won’t update.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I am not sure whats going on but this feed thing is driving me crazy. Before Feed validator passed by feeds, and not it gives me bunch of error. Here are couple:

line 14, column 665: channel contains more than one feedburner:emailServiceId (6 occurrences) [help]

    … html” name=”robots” content=”noindex” /><feedburner:emailServiceId xmlns …
    ^

line 14, column 795: channel contains more than one feedburner:feedburnerHostname (6 occurrences) [help]

    … echSnafuFeed</feedburner:emailServiceId><feedburner:feedburnerHostname x …
    ^

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 113, column 0: content:encoded should not contain iframe tag (2 occurrences) [help]

    <p style=”text-align: center;”><iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/Squ

line 307, column 0: content:encoded should not contain object tag (2 occurrences) [help]

    <p style=”text-align: center;”><object style=”height: 390px; width: 640px;” …

Can someone please help me with this issue, I have already spent too much time on this stupid issue.

    Thanks

Until you turn off the redirection to Feedburner so that we can see the raw feed, there isn’t a great deal we can offer in the way of help.
