• All of a sudden (or so it seems) my feeds are dead…

My feeds break at the point where the summary of each post is output. Now, if I manually add an excerpt, that post will be ok, but then the RSS will break again on the next post’s summary!

    My blog is here: https://www.alistercameron.com

I have upgraded to the lastest SVN build in the hopes that would resolve it, but alas, no.

I have also turned off any plugins I don’t absolutely need or that I think could have some effect… but I’m clutching at straws here.

    Any ideas?

I can tell that the bug/glitch is somewhere in/around the function the_excerpt_rss(), which is responsible for dropping content into the summary tag.

    Thanks all.

No support for SVN builds in the forum. You are on your own.

On Options->Reading, try setting “For each article, show: ” to “Full text” and see if that makes any difference.

The excerpt should be automatically generated from the content if you leave the excerpt field empty. The fact that you have it completely dying at that point suggests that some code is broken somewhere.

Stop trying the SVN and switch back to the released version. This may be difficult, I know.
