  • Sure. But I think you’d better start a new topic. Apart from the fact that it’s a completely different subject, this one is getting a little long. ??

Absolutely, I can do that. Thank you so much, esmi. ??

    esmi,

    Check it out:

    I’m sorry, here you go:

    esmi,

For the sake of testing, and without going too far, I imported only the posts (and all comments) that I have created, from my site. Apparently, you hit the nail right on the head!

    Check it out:
    https://new.hyperblogcafe.com/?feed=rss2

So, that is great! I have my settings set to display 250 feeds; but, only in Internet Explorer does 250 actually display. In Chrome and Firefox, only the last 10 will appear. I’m not sure why that is. But, nonetheless, it looks like this did resolve the problem.

So, again, I thank you, and everyone else, for all the help on this topic. I guess the next step is decide on a template, and, get on with a better understanding of how to do the Child Theme, so I could set it up properly, this time around.

    So, what do you think?

    esmi,

I’ve also created the new post for the Child Theme questions that I have:

As we finish up with this post, I would really appreciate any help or insights that you could offer in the new post as well.

    Thank you so much.

I have my settings set to display 250 feeds

    That’s a really huge number.

RSS feed is supposed to have only the most recent articles of your blog (up to 10 or 20), not all of them. Older posts should be still available in a feed reader’s cache. For example, Google Reader displays older posts regardless of the total number of entries in the current feed.

I wonder if that could be a cause of the original problem.

    Hi Sergey,

    That’s a really huge number.

I wonder if that could be a cause of the original problem.

I have switched it back to 10 Feeds, but that still doesn’t resolve the problem.

Are you suggesting that, this may have been what broke it in thee first place? And, if so, I wonder if there is a core file that can be replaced, that may reset the Feeds in WordPress?

    Sergey,
    Also, please check this out:
My feed works for comments on my site.
    https://www.hyperblogcafe.com/comments/feed/

    And, for categories as well:
    https://www.hyperblogcafe.com/feed/?cat=6
    https://www.hyperblogcafe.com/feed/?cat=160

Which leads me to believe that, my feed isn’t broken, but something is preventing, or corrupting, the main post feed:
    https://www.hyperblogcafe.com/?feed=rss2

Is there a style sheet that you know of, or a specific php file, in the WordPress install, that is responsible for properly displaying the feeds?

    Thank you,
    Mark

    Sergey/esmi,

It looks like I have finally figured out why my post feed wasn’t working.
    https://www.hyperblogcafe.com/feed

If you can believe it, it looks like it was a setting on my Simply Exclude plug-in. Under Manage Category Exclusions, Feed Visibility in RSS/RSS2/Atom feeds, I had it checked, ‘include only,’ when in fact, it should have been checked, ‘exclude only.’

Therefore, it was only including the category that I was really intending to exclude, from my feeds. Do you believe that! LOL!

The weird, thing is, however, that I had tried, several times, to deactivate all plug-ins, and to rest the plug-ins folder – which didn’t do the job.

And, here, it looks like it was one variable setting, in one plug-in. Out of control! ??
