rss feeds

  • Well I am still having difficulty with my rss setup. I have searched thru this forum and the wordpresswiki and I cant find an answer. Is there some kind of setup i must do for my rss link to work on my blog.I have tried to reinstall the rss2.php and the rss.php with no avail. I have been at this for a few days now. I found some posts with similar problems yet no solutions..Is there a special install for this?
    I have posted this a few times and have even had my posts deleted for some reason. I just need a little help. I installed word press correctly(by the book)and in 1 cigarette’s amount of time. I am using 1.2 mingus. i am using ie6.026 and all the files are on a unix server (aplus.net xr plan)I hope someone can help me.

    Well, I can’t find your rss file. There’s just an internal server error … but I can’t seem to be able to download it. You don’t provide much information.

    Okay… I think I’ve got it sorted… In each of the following files:
    wp-rss.php
    wp-rss2.php
    wp-atom.php
    wp-rdf.php
    replace everything between
    <<<—- if (! $feed) {
    $blog = 1; // enter your blog’s ID
    $doing_rss = 1;
    require(‘wp-blog-header.php’) —->>>
    with
    <<<—- if (! $feed) {
    require(‘wp-blog-header.php’); —->>>
    Do that for all of the above files and everything shoudl work perfectly. Their is no need to do it for wp-commentsrss2.php as it is that way already.
    Hope that works for everybody else, it seems to work for me anyway.
