  • Works for me…
    Go to https://example.com/feed/
(Replace example.com with your site’s URL.)

If you read the contents of that page, you will notice that the image with the invalid character still shows up.
Not sure which tool you are using to read the RSS’ output – it may not accept the output.

It could be caching, or it might be that the image was added as a featured image / added as an attachment to the post. Not able to tell from the limited information.

    Thank you.

But as mentioned above the RSS Feed is invalid when I check the feed with the W3C feed validator. Hence e.g. Bloglovin cannot read my feed.

So I think I need to locate the invalid url / image and remove it.

My question is how to locate and remove that invalid url / image.

    Have you investigated these options?

I cleared my cache. I did find the image in the media library and deleted it there. But the feed error still pops up. It is not added as a featured image or as an attachment (as far as I can see).

Is there any other way to search and locate this image:

Let me know in case you need more info.

    Thx.
