Your feed is parsing partially as HTML.

If disabling plugins and switching themes made no difference, it’s time to suspect core file corruption.

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Thanks, James! I’d be lying if I said that doesn’t make me a bit nervous though….
Any other suggestions before I go through all that?

Yes, it’s probably a good idea to backup first. ??

Bummer – same result. Here’s what I did:

    1. Deleted WP- folders, except the wp-content
    2. Deleted all wp- files in the root (except wp-config), as well as index.php
    3. Downloaded the latest version of wordpress
    4. Uploaded the new versions of everything that was deleted.

Feed Validator still gives the same error (https://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmodernservantleader.com%2Ffeed%2F) and the Feedburner feed remains stuck on the same post.

    Any other ideas?

Hm, it’s unlikely, but considering we’ve tried everything else, I suppose the error on line 402 could be what’s tanking the whole thing.

What happens if you edit https://modernservantleader.com/servant-leadership/courage-through-caring/ and set it back to Draft? Does the feed validate and operate properly without that post?

I’ll be darned! That did it. Can’t believe I didn’t try that first. Bizarre…

Thanks so much for the help, James!

    You’re welcome!

If you want to keep the post, I’d suggest just re-typing it. There’s probably an invisible character in there just wrecking the feed.

I don’t suggest re-typing lightly though, that’s a lot of work, but in my experience it takes less time to just re-type than it does to try every other possible thing.
