Everything worked great for quite some time.

However, a couple months ago, the RSS feed stopped updating. You can see it here: https://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/feed/podcast/the-black-vault-radio-w-john-greenewald-jr/

However, Spotify, and iTunes and others won’t update, even after numerous refreshes. The RSS feed is generating, but for whatever reason multiple aggregators won’t pull the new episodes.

If it was just one – I’d think it was that one. But, since I can verify it is multiple (Spotify and iTunes etc.) it has to be something wrong with what’s in the feed, so the episodes are not generating, and I don’t know why. PLEASE HELP. This is URGENT.

    Hi @blackvault,

I see three issues when validating your feed on castfeedvalidator.com.

WARNING:?We have detected Cloudflare service, which may cause issues with podcasting.
WARNING:?Your image file size is a bit large. Try saving as a jpeg to make the file size smaller.
WARNING:?Your bitrate mode is not set to CBR. This is the optimal setting for podcast audio.

I recommend addressing those issues first, and then checking if the problem persists.

I think this is my issue that you may have missed.

Your feed is, for whatever reason, not showing the most recent episode. Even in the test, it does not show Episode #139, even though when I load the URL in a browser it shows. However, no RSS feed aggregator sees it. The “warning” you get is on Episode #138, and since that displays in iTunes and elsewhere, that works fine. So we can rule out those warnings. I even changed #139 to CBR, but it still won’t show.

So again, load the RSS URL in a browser — #139 shows. But your test website, iTunes, Spotify and others will not load it. So, it’s something in the feed itself – not CloudFlare, an image size, or bitrate.

Please help. I do not want to go find another plugin.

    Hi @blackvault,

Did you try to fix those issues? I would first try to temporarily disable Cloudflare, there is a good chance it caches your feed.
Also, did you try asking iTunes and Spotify support? What did they say?
