• Hi, I’m afraid I don’t use RSS feeds, so I’m feeling a bit dumb, but I need some help. I’m using 2014 theme on my blog notdunroamin(dot) com, when I click on entries RSS and also on the RSS feed icon I’m using with Ultimate Social Icons plug in, I get an error message “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” With a whole page of code.
    Can someone help please?
    thanks, Danila

  • what happens when you go to your domain and then /feed on the end?

I get the same error message page of code ??

I’ve just looked, that is your RSS feed.

You have a valid RSS feed. If you want to view your feed, you need to use an RSS reader, such as Feedly or another reader and this as your feed address:
    https://www.notdunroamin.com/feed

    Hopefully this helps

I just tried it through feedly and it comes up fine

ok. I guess what I don’t understand is what is supposed to happen when people click on the icon? I thought it was like a subscribe to feed link? What’s the purpose of the icon please?

Generally, the purpose of an RSS icon (that i know of) is to indicate to people that an RSS feed is available.

It is then up to them to subscribe to it using their preferred plaform…

aha, ok, understood! Thanks very much for explaining that I don’t have a glitch on my blog, just in my understanding!
    Cheers!
