I am having trouble with the RSS feed generated by Word Press. Quotation marks and apostrophies are turned into &#8217 &#8220 and &#8221, at least in the tiltes. At least that is what I am finding in the XML feed. The encoding in my Firefox browser is set to UTF-8 and I am typing text into the Word Press Admin page for writing a post.

    Any suggestionts? Please?

  • What’s the problem though? The feedreader should know what those are and display quotes and apostrophes as expected, right?

Nope, it displays &#8217 &#8220 and &#8221. This is happening in both places I am trying to use it. One is Firefox bookmarks, the other is a Firefox toolbar (courtesy of BenefitBar).

I upgraded Firefox and that solved the problem of the live bookmarks. I’ve contacted the developer of the toolbar to and they are looking a fix on their end. Thanks HandySolo for your thoughts. I’ll mark this resolved for now.
