• I just had an iPhone app made for my podcast. The podcast RSS feed comes from my WordPress site https://machigai.com . On the site, I show the content of the podcast in bullet points. However, this HTML formatting is lost in the RSS feed. So in the iPhone app, the description of each episode is just an unformatted mess of text. Is there some way to preserve the formatting in the feed so that the bullets would appear in the iPhone app’s episode description?

They should appear if you’ve selected Full Text for your feed at Settings/Reading.

“Full Text” is selected already. That doesn’t seem to be the problem.

There is HTML formatting in your raw RSS2 feed, so the issue may be with the reader – not the feed.

sorry, i side with stingpin – the feed strips out html coding. i too have this problem which does not resolve using full text. i have googled i find it strange that this is the only link in cyberspace which has broached this topic. surely, others need html code in their feed and have resolved this.

Yes, you would think! I’ve been distracted and haven’t come back to this, but it is surprising that it seems to be an issue for so few.

It’s an issue for me as well, google reader just shows a big mess of text =(
