RSS – feed does not update in reader

I’m stumped on this one. It’s a strange problem and I’ve exhausted the forums.

I’m moving a friend’s blog over and have set him up on
Word Press. the address is https://www.garylamb.org. the site generates an RSS feed, but when you subscribe to it in bloglines (or any other feed reader), all of the posts show us as read. When he publishes a new post, it does not appear in the reader as an unread post.

The feed address is https://www.garylamb.org/?feed=rss2.

For every other blog, when I subscribe to it in my feed reader, the reader loads the new blog with several of the posts unread. This is not the case.

I was using Word Press 2.0.7, but upgraded to 2.1 tonight in an effort to troubleshoot. I had tried feed burner to get the feed that way, but with the same result.

Like I said, I’m stumped. I’ve tried disabling the theme and any plugins to see if there was an interaction. Nothing.
