• Hi,

Whenever I add a new post to my site, it takes 1 hour+ for the RSS feed to refresh. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this might be happening? I know of other WordPress sites that don’t have any delay at all.

Happy to hear any suggestions as I’m at a loss with this one. Thanks in advance.

  • Are you running wp-cache plugin?

If so, add “feed” to the rejected URI’s field at Options -> wp-cache.

No, not running the wp-cache plugin. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I don’t have that problem. Are you perhaps accessing your feed through an Internet feed service (which means delays are quite normal, I think), or are you checking the feed link directly on your browser?

Through various Internet feed services, but of several WordPress sites this is the only one with a delay of more than a few minutes. The site is now in the hands of my client, so further experimentation will need to go through him. Will report back here if I solve it.

My RSS feed is also delayed, don’t know why. Accessing it “direct” in the browser via its RSS-URI works immediately after posting. But Google News (for example) showed my last 2 posts on exactly the same time just about 1 hour after the LAST post was made. Same goes for niimo.com where the delay was about 30mins after posting when I tested it last time.

I am experiencing this problem on another, separately hosted WordPress-site too.

VERSION USED on both hosts: 2.2.2
