RSS Feed Changing Author Permissions

    First of all, I have been using Feedwordpress for a few years now and love the product!

    I have developed a problem in the last few months where one syndication is updating the user meta information on my site. I have tried numerous different methods to try and combat the problem but cannot stop it from happening.

    For example, I can block an author only to have the author reinstated after the feed update. Any change I make is automatically reset.

    I have installed plugins like buddypress and so forth to block authors or mark them as spam and nothing prevents the changes from happening. I even installed a plugin to limit the number of posts an author can have but it too was overridden.

    Has anyone run into this?

    I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas on how prevent a datafeed from having control over authors on my wordpress site.

    I am still having issues with Syndication Sources updating wp_usermeta values.

    I cannot prevent this from happening and I would think this is a fairly substantial security risk for my wordpress.

    Hoping someone will have a moment to help me trouble shoot this issue.

    Any thoughts? Seems like a fairly serious security hole….
