• Hi there I just upgraded to the latest WP (3.0.2). My RSS will not display now on other sites, not sure what to do after trying a few things, tried a fresh install and it is still broken. The rss works if you visit it by http but doesn’t if you try to add it to a widget. Other WP feeds work, and I use “In-Post-RSS” plugin and that works for other feeds but not this one! When I check the feed to W3C standards it says it’s good.

    This is the feed:

    https://powdercanada.com/feed/ or
    https://powdercanada.com/feed/rss/

Anyone? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

I very carefully tried all those things, then realized it is not the feed. And it is not WP, it must be a server setting, as I can put a fresh install of WP on this server and then not be able to access the feed. Other sites can add it fine. They are both now on the same VPS with their own domain. Still unsure of how to fix it but I’m getting closer.

I’m having the same problem since 3.0.2. I have a site that has been working great for years… but now that I installed 3.0.2 when I pull the RSS feed it only shows posts made prior to that upgrade.

    Please help!!

    Some new insight on this:

If I pull my feed: https://www.utahmartialart.com/feed/
by using google reader, Socialite, or similar readers it does not show anything since my upgrade to 3.0.2.

If however, I pull the feed using Safari it shows all of the posts, even the new ones. Based on this it seems that perhaps the format of the new posts is somehow no longer the same? Something has changed in them that is causing some readers not to show them?

Okay, so mine is working now…

I deactivated my most recent plugin (I forget the name… an email subscription plugin) and it didn’t help.
I deleted the plugin… still no love.
I then flushed out my cache (W3 total cache plugin) and it all seems to work now.

I hope that is helpful for others.
