    That’s entirely normal. ??

An RSS feed is a stream of XML data meant to be interpreted by a feed reader, like https://rssowl.org/ or https://newsblur.com/

Chrome does not have a built-in feed reader. If you wanted to add a feed reader to Chrome, you would need to install this extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rss-subscription-extensio/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd

ok sir James Huff (MacManX) ,i got it thanks alot for your time. sir i have installed the extension and i can view that. but the question in my mind is that how a normal visitor will able to read feed through google chrome.
its obvious that every body doesn’t know about the extension .
Now i want to ask you and others that ” is there any wordpress plugin that can add the same functionality …?? “
i mean if i have activated that plugin my visitors can read the feed without installing extension
i hope you will help me again
    thanks in advance ??

A USER IN CHROME CAN VIEW YOUR FEED!

    now thats out the way.
tought the user can view the feed it wont “look nice” – that is the only reason to install
an addon on chrome or any other browser.

If you get errors in you feed try to turn them into excerpts and not full posts.
that is always a good advice

    in your wp-admin menu
    settings>reading

mr, sagive, i am already using summary instead of Full post
    in setting -> reading

Nevertheless – the error does not happen becouse of the device you are using to view it AKA chrome.

    P.S
i can see your feed just fine.

Sorry sagive, this is what someone sees in Chrome when they view a feed without an RSS reader extension installed. Maybe you have one: https://cloudup.com/iLd2NRzS5cE

This is a well-known thing in the web industry. Google didn’t want to put the effort into rolling a feed reader into the browser. To be fair, Safari and IE don’t either, but they do it a bit better by displaying a notice directing the viewer to install a feed reader.

Firefox is the only one that displays feeds nicely, though it always only shows excerpts by truncating the posts itself: https://cloudup.com/iERcHgDWWNZ

beingtopper, typically most folks won’t even want to use a Feed in a browser. There is no difference between https://beingtopper.com/feed/ and https://beingtopper.com/blog/ except that the feed looks worse in a browser. ??

A feed is a stream of data meant to be interpreted by a feed reader, not a browser, so most folks pursuing a feed already have a feed reader, and most feed readers today can actually find the feed URL by just getting the site’s domain (entering beingtopper.com instead of beingtopper.com/feed/).

In short, if someone wants a feed, they probably already know how to use it. ??

oh yes you are right mr. James Huff (MacManX)
    now i am tension free
the way you explain is quite impressive ??
    thanks allot
By the way as u visited my website (as i guess) , if u tell me your opinion about my web ,it will be so kind of you
my purpose of this web is to provide free technical education
i am working on preparing video lectures and other study material.
and soon i will be able to issue a valid certifications in selected fields.
    waiting for your suggestions ?? :p ??

    You’re welcome!

It think your site looks great, but I’d remove the “VIEWER’S STATISTICS” widget. Hit counters like that really aren’t accurate/useful as they count visits from bots too (search bots, spam bots, archive bots, lots of things which aren’t actually people). Also, I think there’s a psychological thing to how readers see counters these days, like a site which has to publicly prove its visitors is somehow less important/popular than a site which doesn’t.

I’d also remove the “FORUM STATISTICS” widget for now. I think it’s cool, and draws attention to the forums, but it’s a lot of 0’s for now. You might want to bring it back in a month when those numbers look better. ??

The only other suggestion would be to cut down on the amount of Infolinks. I understand they exist to generate revenue for you, but I just have this thing for fake links, I don’t like them. Not that you shouldn’t do it, just sharing my opinion. Also, this placement is very strange: https://cloudup.com/cKHucbUUVkn

i want to thank you again sir James Huff .
totally agree with your points, even i was thinking same points but not sure about removing those widgets. now i will definitely do that .
    thanks again

but problems are gifted to me in bulk ??

in morning website was working well .
i updated wppa photo album plus..->
    working well
after some time (2-3 hrs later ),when i visited my web it show fatal error in wppa plugin
    ->i removed that plugin
    ->then it shows
    error in buddypress plugin :
    site domain : Beingtopper.com

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 49152 bytes) in /home/beingtop/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity/bp-activity-filters.php on line 109

    don’t know what to do

If you’re seeing this error either suddenly (no specific task was done to cause the error) or frequently, try deactivating all plugins to rule-out a plugin-specific issue and try switching themes to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

Otherwise, here are three ways to increase PHP’s memory allocation:

    1. If you can edit or override the system php.ini file, increase the memory limit. For example, memory_limit = 256M

    2. If you cannot edit or override the system php.ini file, add php_value memory_limit 256M to your .htaccess file.

    3. If neither of these work, it’s time to ask your hosting provider to temporarily increase PHP’s memory allocation on your account. Keep in mind that most decent hosting providers allocate 32 MB to PHP under each account, and most decent hosting providers allow users to temporarily increase the memory allocation. If your hosting provider won’t accommodate you, perhaps it’s time to find a new hosting provider.

(in the above examples, the limit is set to 256MB)
