• Hi,

I have had this problem for many months now and it remains unresolved. A quick look at the WP forums, and many people have the same issue with very little answers forthcoming.

I have this problem “RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn’t connect to host” across 14 wordpress installations on one host. No problems on other WP installations on other hosts. The problem is obviously with the host – BUT .

My webhost company is extremely helpful (iWebHost), and they have been looking into this issue for some time now. They have enabled curl, changed the memory limit to 256mb verified the error
log and even worked with the suggested fix found on forum and the problem is still there.

Could someone please reply with some information my web host could use in order to fix this?

    Thanks

    M

  • I too am having the same problem, hosted through HostGator. When I contacted them they kicked it up a level to thier Linux admins. If they resole the issue I’ll post it here.

My issues just got fixed – here is the responce:
    “Hello,

I have corrected this by going to ‘WordPress Blog’, slide all the way to right in the header, and click on ‘Configure’, ‘Submit’, and it fixes itself. If you have any further questions or issues please let me know.”
