RSS – Error establishing a database connection

  • Weirdness as of this morning… My RSS feed has broken.

    I’ve not changed anything for days, the only this is my server pool was restarted yesterday. hmmm

    My blog is working fine https://luke.sheldrick.co.uk however the RSS feed is giving a Error establishing a database connection.

    Servers:
    Web:
    Windows 2003 + IIS6 + PHP

    DB:
    Fedora 8 + MySQL 5.0.45-6.fc8

    Any ideas?

  • Clearly your db connection is working if the blog is. Does the error you are getting go anywhere in identifying the DB it is trying to connect to? Something you can share without compromising security?

    I’ve been having the same problem all day. Not sure if it has to do with my recent upgrade to the latest version of WP.
    What ever it is, I’d like to know how to get my RSS feed back up.

    strangest thing an0key… i cleared my cache and cookies, and suddenly it works. I have NO idea what happened.

    clearing cookies and cache also fixed the problem for me.
