RSS: enclosure tag not appearing when using category url on feed

I’ve tried various plugins and have had no luck with this. It is almost like there is something different creating the xml when trying to filter the RSS by category.

When I view the xml source of my RSS feed for a single category for my site in Chrome – it is missing the <enclosure> tag for the image on the post.

When I view the feed without the category filter the <enclosure> tag appears with the image for each post correctly.
